Erinys wielding her own Immortal Strings in preparation to use a Shattered Strings attack. It is an attack that leaves permanent scarring or death to its user. Immortal strings are the Strings of Fate that make up what would otherwise be called their "souls." Nothing can tear these strings except the power of an unspeakably strong god, or the god whom the strings belong to. Since only a handful of gods and goddesses can actually see, let alone touch, these strings, their volatility is seldom on display. One of those goddesses who can wield and rip those strings are the Furies. They can pluck, pull, and rip them as they please, and with dire consequences. For mortal strings, they can eviscerate flesh like a hot knife through butter or crack a rocky mound with ease... but when a Fury rips their own Immortal Strings from their body, they can shatter reality and unleash destruction that can destroy worlds--at the cost of their own life. A Fury wielding their own strings is a Fury enraged beyond comprehension... a Fury who has decided the world no longer deserves to exist.
