This archive captures our exploration of contemporary club sounds, shaped live at the University of Tokyo. DJ SOMA: Head of 22R.Rooted in rap music, with early influences from Nasthug and music fm. A style that bridges the in-between moments of rap floors with high-intensity dance music. SOTA: A style that connects to post–Max Cooper ambient and contemporary music while inserting major structures into it. Possessing a distinct sense of balance, he forms part of the ideological foundation of 22R. RYOTA: Primarily active in a university band circle, with only two months of experience. Selections range from traditional music to hyperpop, including rap associated with Ebisu Batica. Camera / Design Informed by the aesthetics of cults and the rigor of conceptual art, SSRLLL1 materializes a paradoxical reality where conflicting values coexist. Across a multimedia spectrum—from flyers to VJing and cinematic MVs—they challenge the boundaries of perception.
