This project is a college basketball–inspired graphic T-shirt concept that captures the emotional nostalgia of one of the most memorable eras in modern college hoops.
The design draws inspiration from the legacy of the Illinois Fighting Illini and their unforgettable 2005 season in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. Rather than using official logos or tournament graphics, the concept focuses on the feeling and energy of that era—a time many fans still remember vividly.
Design highlights include:
Curved “Feels Like 2005” typography inspired by vintage collegiate apparel
Clean basketball graphics referencing classic court aesthetics
Orange and navy-inspired color tones reimagined in a neutral, original palette
Subtle retro textures to evoke early-2000s sportswear style
The concept celebrates memory, fandom, and timeless sports moments, allowing fans to reconnect with a historic season without relying on licensed imagery.
All visual elements are created as original typographic and graphic interpretations, avoiding official team logos or copyrighted materials.
