Amprius has introduced silicon-anode aviation cells with commercial performance up to 450 Wh/kg and 1,150 Wh/L, with third-party validation reaching 500 Wh/kg and 1,300 Wh/L. In March 2025, Amprius delivered its 6.3 Ah SiCore™ cylindrical cell at 315 Wh/kg, capable of nearly 800 cycles at 80% depth-of-discharge, and demonstrated fast charging from 0–80% in less than 6 minutes.
Cuberg (Northvolt) has advanced lithium-metal from laboratory validation to aviation modules. After delivering 20 Ah, 405 Wh/kg pouch cells, it achieved external validation in May 2024 of a lithium-metal module with ~280 Wh/kg and 320 Wh/L, a milestone toward certifiable packs for eVTOL applications.
Molicel reinforced its status as a key supplier to the eVTOL sector. Its INR-21700-P50B cell delivers 5.0 Ah capacity, continuous discharge at 60 A, and fast charging at 5C, combining safety and high performance. This product is now used by eVTOL developers including Archer Aviation.
