Instagram Post: Top 3 Recommended Spots for Solo Travel

About the Design Production Period: 1 day Tools/Skills: ・Illustrator ・Photoshop ・ChatGPT ・Perplexity AI ・UI/UX ・Branding ・Marketing Focus Points: I mapped out the user journey leading up to clicking the post: ① Catch their attention ② Spark their interest ③ Get them to click To achieve this flow, I carefully focused on the following: ① Catching Attention: • Positioned the phrase “Solo Travel” at the top as a catchphrase. → “Solo Travel” has become a trending and appealing keyword in recent years. • Added \ / decorations to make the title pop and to evoke a sense of excitement. • Increased the visibility of the catchphrase by adding a black shadow to the text. • Arranged the catchphrase along a circular path to make it stand out even more and add a playful touch. • Used a bold rounded Gothic font to create impact. ② Sparking Interest: • Enhanced the brightness, saturation, and contrast of the main visual to make it more vibrant and eye-catching (young audiences tend to prefer colorful designs). ③ Encouraging Clicks: • Clearly communicated the content with the phrase “Top 3 Recommended Spots,” emphasizing that the post would be easy and quick to consume. Overall Design Strategy: • Used only white and black for font colors to create a simple and natural impression. • Layered the number “3” in a playful design element. • Prioritized visual impact because Instagram is a visual-first platform: → Kept the number of text elements minimal to avoid clutter. → Focused attention on the catchphrase and main visual, reducing the size of supporting text. → Readers who are drawn in by “Solo Travel” and the vibrant visual are already highly interested, so they are more likely to read the smaller text thoroughly. → Therefore, the highest priority was to make the catchphrase and visual prominent enough not to get buried among other posts. ⸻ Design Process 1. Define the design challenge 2. Extract keywords (to inspire design ideas) 3. Research the market (especially the travel sector, using statistics and surveys) 4. Deeply understand the target audience (through research and data) 5. Create the copy (catchphrases, etc.) 6. Brainstorm design ideas (layouts, visuals, fonts, colors, based on the extracted keywords and gallery references) 7. Create and polish the design 8. Finalize ⸻ Design Challenge Target Audience: • People in their 20s to 30s • Travel enthusiasts Concept: A post that makes you want to pack your bags and go on an adventure. Objectives: • Catch attention • Encourage clicks Desired Emotional Impact: • Excitement • A sense of wanderlust Atmosphere: • Simple • Stylish • Natural • Exciting ⸻ Thoughts on Design “I want to convey love through design and help others express it.” I love creating designs that are easy to use, easy to understand, and spark excitement. Thinking about how the user feels when interacting with the design is at the heart of what I do. I believe that creating designs that genuinely care about human emotions is the true joy and purpose of our work—and of life itself. That’s why I always place importance on first “getting to know the person” behind every project. This is a fictional post created for portfolio purposes.
