About the Design Production Period: 1 day Tools/Skills: ・Illustrator ・Photoshop ・ChatGPT ・Perplexity AI ・UI/UX ・Branding ・Marketing Focus Points: To achieve the two main objectives: ① Increase the click-through rate ② Convey a sense of healing I paid special attention to the following: ① To Increase Click-Through Rate: • Captivating main visual: → Enhanced the saturation of the image, especially emphasizing natural colors like blue and green to promote an atmosphere of escape and healing. → Increased brightness and sharpness of the image (based on data showing this improves click-through rates). → Displayed the visual prominently without adding unnecessary text. → Improved font visibility by adding a black shadow behind the text for stronger contrast. → Included a human figure in the visual (data suggests that the presence of people increases click rates). → Brightened the human figure, added shadows, and playfully overlapped the figure with text for added appeal. • Engaging title and subtitle: → Since “food” is ranked as the most anticipated aspect of overseas travel by Japanese travelers, I included “food culture” in the subheading. → Targeting those who seek an escape from reality, I intentionally chose English text (creating a sense of luxury and unfamiliarity) and used words like “hidden paradise” and “food culture” to evoke a feeling of uniqueness and extraordinary experience. ② To Convey a Sense of Healing: • Visual design emphasizes “grandeur” and “nature”: → Careful selection and editing of a single large photograph to create an overwhelming sense of scale and serenity. • Dream-like visuals: → Used fine fonts and thin white lines for an elegant look. → Primarily used English to evoke a sense of sophistication. → Emphasized a sense of exclusivity and extraordinary experience through the words “hidden paradise” and “food culture.” → Monotone font colors to let the visuals shine. → Chose font families such as handwritten styles, serif fonts, and Ming-cho (Japanese serif) styles to add a touch of refinement. ⸻ Design Process 1. Define the design challenge 2. Extract keywords (to inspire design ideas) 3. Research the travel market (collecting data and surveys) 4. Understand the target audience deeply (through statistics and surveys) 5. Create copy (catchphrases, etc.) 6. Explore multiple design ideas (referencing design galleries and keywords) 7. Create and refine the design 8. Finalize the design ⸻ Design Challenge Target Audience: • Travel enthusiasts aged 20–50 • People seeking an escape from reality Concept: A once-in-a-lifetime journey! Hidden paradises of Italy Objectives: • Increase click-through rate • Inspire dreams and excitement (branding) Emotional Impact on the Audience: • Feel healed and refreshed Atmosphere: • Inspiring • Stylish • Natural • Simple • Healing • Quiet • Elegant ⸻ Thoughts on Design “I want to convey love through design and help others express it.” I love designing with the user’s feelings in mind—creating designs that are easy to use, easy to understand, and make people feel excited and happy. I believe that designing while considering human emotions is one of the true joys and purposes of life. That’s why I put great importance on “getting to know the person” first.
