『Frozen Floor』は、49文字から成る不思議な小説を原作とする、アニメーションオムニバス「Pass49e」の収録作品のひとつ。 郊外にひっそりと暮らす独居老人の町彦は、夏のうだるような暑さに生気を奪われていた。エアコンも壊れている。床で大の字になると、冷んやりして心地よい。目を瞑り思い出される、在りし日の息子家族の姿。記憶の中の孫の温かいはずの言葉が、町彦の現実を冷たく凍らせていく。 "Frozen Floor" is one of the featured works in the animation anthology "Pass49e," based on a mysterious novel consisting of 49 characters.
