#HEARTSTEEL 「 They prayin’ for the death of a rockstar！🎸」 I'm sending all my love to the creative team behind HEARTSTEEL in this one— You’ll never believe who’s the biggest fan of HS Kayn and Alune ever (me) and my PC can’t even run League… The grip this song had on me was crazy… I told myself I wouldn’t cover it because I was too busy to join collabs and then I started recording and planning for a solo instead HAHAHA… Here we finally are! A huge thank you to AGEKK for listening to me ramble about Heartsteel and sharing her amazing guides with me! Can’t even begin to word how grateful I am towards VESEN for dealing with all the layers in this, seriously so so grateful for how patient he was towards me and my google doc filled with notes about the raw vocal tracks— The mix turned out SO good and I think he’s probably a mix god (real thanks for enabling me)… jjolee’s lovely lovely art and design truly had me clutching at my heart, she made me look so cool!! It’s been an absolute dream come true to be able to work with her, I’ve been a huge fan of her art and webtoon for such a long time! (one of the og LiT fans lol… she’s releasing a new webtoon soon too!) near is so lovely to work with, they were so patient with me and brought all my ideas to life. I listened to Kayn’s voicelines while writing this and I’m evidently very normal about him haha… I’ll try to keep this on the shorter side LOL There’s so much ambition and determination in these lyrics, it feels a bit like seizing your own fate into your own hands and taking back creative control. It's like a song that's showing the world that you can do what they claimed you couldn't do, like yelling “screw you!” for the first time on a rooftop or something… I think there’s a lot of weight that’s placed on whether or not you get to shine in the public’s eyes, whether they like you or scrutinize you— It’s never possible to please everyone, all you can really do is try to deliver your best to the ones that are willing to stick around, to appreciate those who end up not enjoying what you make as well— What you make isn’t for everyone, but I think the sincerity in what you create will still reach them, regardless of whether or not they enjoyed. It’s hard to not let negative comments get to you, especially the backhanded ones that don’t seem too bad until you look closer; it’s harder to stay positive in the spotlight, but if you stay true to yourself, there /will/ come a day where you’re surrounded by the support you definitely deserve (in other words, screw it, we ball /j) Thanks for listening, hope you enjoyed!
