I had finished up teaching English on an island in the middle of nowhere and was ready to move on to bigger and better things. The only problem is that no matter how many companies I applied to, I always made it to the final interview only to be rejected. Not exactly the most fun situation to be in to be honest - especially when your visa and legal status in the country depend on you having a job to begin with. In the end, things ended up working out in my favor, but I reached the point where I was ready to pack it up and go back to the States times a many. Living abroad is hard. Hard, but fulfilling. While I know I still have much room to grow as a person, looking back on me during the time I wrote this song, I'm glad to say that I have improved on myself and will continue doing so. Let's all keep striving to be the best version of ourselves and to not give up no matter what life may throw at us. Peace.
